Maintenance Tips for Thermal Floor Heating Systems

1. When using thermal floor heating for the first time, the heating should be gradual

When using geothermal floor, consumers must pay attention to heating the floor gradually. During installation, the surface temperature should be kept around 18°C. Before installation, the cement floor should be gradually heated up by 5°C every day until it reaches the standard of about 18°C. This temperature should be maintained for the first 3 days after installation, after which the temperature can be increased as needed, but only 5°C at most per day.

When using thermal floor heating for the first time, pay attention to heating up slowly. When using it for the first time, the temperature should be gradually increased in the first three days: the water temperature is 18℃ on the first day, 25℃on the second day, 30℃on the third day. And the temperature can only be raised to normal temperature on the fourth day, that is, the water temperature is 45℃, and the surface temperature is 28℃ to 30℃. Don't heat up too fast. If heat up too fast, the floor may crack and twist due to expansion. When the floor heating system is activated again after a long time, it is also necessary to strictly follow the heating procedure as it is used for the first time.

2. The surface temperature of thermal floor heating should not be too high

It should be noted that when using thermal floor heating, the surface temperature should not exceed 28 °C, and the temperature of the water pipe should not exceed 45 °C. If exceed this temperature, it will affect the service life and cycle of the floor. For average family, it is very comfortable when the room temperature reaches about 22℃ in winter. If the temperature rises normally, it will not affect the use of the geothermal floor.

3. Gradually turn off the thermal floor heating system

With the passage of the season, when the weather warms up and the indoor thermal floor heating system is no longer needed, it should be noted that there is also a process of turning off the geothermal system, and the cooling process of the floor should also be gradual and should not drop the temperature abruptly. If the cooling speed is too fast, It will also affect the life of the floor.

4. When the room with thermal floor heating is too dry, humidification can be considered

In winter, the climate is dry, coupled with the use of thermal floor heating, the floor is easy to dry and crack under the condition of high temperature for a long time. At this time, it is necessary for the owner to humidify the room to prevent the floor from cracking and deforming. When decorating, be careful not to drill holes and nails on the ground, so as not to leak the geothermal pipeline, causing the geothermal system to run out of water and the floor to soak in water and be scrapped. In addition, since the surface of the floor is a heat-dissipating surface, try not to make fixed decorative parts or place furniture without legs on the floor, and it is not suitable to build floor slab, so as not to affect the flow of hot air, resulting in poor room heating effect.

Due to the high temperature of the floor surface, it is best not to place glassware and porcelain with water directly on the ground in winter in the room that uses the thermal floor heating system, so as to avoid uneven heating, thermal expansion and contraction which will result in rupture of the utensils and flooding in the home. Geothermal floor has become a fashionable decoration in home decoration, but everyone must pay more attention to details when purchasing and paving. Especially in terms of maintenance, the requirements on geothermal floor are higher.
